My Top 10 Northwest Washington Wedding Venues

From the mountains, to the islands, to the farm country, to the mountains, there are so many gorgeous venues in Whatcom, Skagit, and San Juan Counties and it is very hard for me to choose my favorites, but I will for those of you hunting for the perfect spot. We created florals for all of the weddings below:

1. Lairmont Manor is hands down the most gorgeous historical setting, conveniently located in Bellingham, WA. It is an 1914 Italian Renaissance style home with well kept gardens, a well-organized, full-time staff and so many stunning backdrops. They have a stunning indoor ceremony and reception space in front of large stunning windows, a cozy ceremony space in front of the fountain in the gardens and a large white tent that is up throughout wedding season. This venue is just down the road from me, so there is no delivery fee and return fees for moving and collecting florals are minimal. This venue is award-winning so book well in advance for weekends, however, you might find a good deal for a weekday event.

2. Evergreen Gardens is a Pacific Northwest paradise. It's a sprawling, green, lush, and full of ferns, evergreens, and well-kept garden spaces with some many different options for a ceremony backdrop. They have a covered space, dressing rooms, a full-kitchen, bar, and so many extras. I love working with the owners because the are genuinely kind people and a part of the same network of sustainably-minded wedding vendors, Emerald Hour.

3. Christiansen's Nursery has a newer reception building, The Vinery, that is just absolutely full of rustic charm and can accommodate large groups. The smaller chapel is perfect for intimate gatherings and the garden ideal for summer garden weddings. The couple portraits taken in the greenhouses are some of my favorites.

4. Wandering Waters is off the beaten path (in the foothills of Mt. Baker), and worth the drive through the countryside if you want a truly nature-filled celebration. There are several beautiful choices for ceremony locations and all of them feel like they are in the middle of a natural Pacific Northwest paradise. The owner is very kind and accommodating and covered area for the reception is charming with its long wood tables and benches.

5. Semiahmoo Resort is a great all-amenities space with everything you could need, including accommodations for your guests, catering, and so much more. The dockside ceremonies are perfect for a coastal wedding and the large tent can accommodate a large crowd.

The garden wedding is intimate and lovely and the reception hall and courtyard are prefect for an elegant party. See more photos from the wedding below.

9. Bakercreek Place is not well-known venue in Bellingham, tucked away in an industrial area. I've only done one wedding there so far, but it is a surprisingly lovely place that can accommodate large weddings with indoor and outdoor spaces for year-around events.

10. Mount Baker is a beautiful setting where many from all over the county flock to elope or have intimate weddings. There are so many gorgeous vistas and experienced elopement photographers who help you plan your unforgettable day.
