5 Reasons You Should Have a Dried Flower Wedding

Creating 100% naturally-dried floral designs for events is one of my favorite things to do. Here are my top 5 reasons that this floral medium is so wonderful.

1. Dried florals last: They are dried so the artist can save and source flowers from a variety of seasons, over a longer period of time, giving an elaborate and varied design. You can bring them home and keep them for a very long time, still enjoying them. If you have a separate ceremony and reception that are on different days, dried flowers can be used for both events.

2. Naturally-dried (without chemicals or synthetic dyes or bleach) are an incredibly sustainable choice for dried flowers. They don't require the energy that goes into cooling and quickly transporting fresh flowers.

3. Dried-floral designs are unique: It is still quite rare to see floral designs that use all dried flowers and they are sure to surprise you!

4. Dried flowers offer endless colors and texture possibilities: Many flowers that are dried are just a colorful as they are when they are fresh. You can go with so many different color pallets from subtle and elegantly hued to bright and vibrant. Dried flowers have so much texture, not only stiff and crunchy, but many grasses and seedpods can be added to give arrangements movement.

5. And finally, dried flowers can be used year around: They are an especially welcome option for variety and color during the winter here in the PNW when there aren't a ton of local flowers available.
